Takanini Urgent Care and GP Clinics are now OPEN!!

Come and see our fresh, new look Takanini clinic – at the same familiar site, the same opening hours of 8am to 8pm 7 days a week, with familiar staff but a clean new interior.

We look forward to seeing you in either of our clinics anytime you need us.

Welcome to Counties Medical Level 1! Our Papakura site at 6-18 O’Shannessey Street (open 7 days 8am to 10pm) and our Takanini site at 106 Great South Road (open 7 days 8am to 8pm) are BOTH OPEN.

In Level 1 things are now much easier for you to access both Urgent Care and GP services – and you can come into the clinic freely now. While the risk of exposure to COVID-19 is now low, there are some Golden Rules we ask you to follow in Level 1:

  • If you have your own mask, bring it in to the clinic.
  • Reception will ask you some questions about whether you have a cough, runny nose, sore throat or shortness of breath. If you do, you will be asked to wear a mask.
  • Sneeze and cough into your elbow, whenever you are in the clinic – even if you have a mask on.
  • Because its winter flu season, we are keeping a 1 metre physical distancing in the clinic. The more space there is between you and others, the harder it is for COVID-19 or other flu to spread.
  • Use the NZ COVID Tracer app in the clinic. This helps with contact tracing if needed.
  • Stay vigilant. There is still a global pandemic going on….. so keep up with your good handwashing.
  • Hand sanitiser is available on the reception desk for you to use.
  • People will have had different experiences over the last couple of months. Whatever you’re feeling — it’s okay. Be kind to others. Be kind to yourself.
