The Counties Medical Papakura site – 6-18 O’Shannessey Street, Papakura is OPEN.Urgent Care Hours – 8am – 10pm 7 days a week. GP Clinic Hours - 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday.

Our clinic site is a well-controlled and safe environment for you and your family to continue to come to for your accident and medical needs.Staff and patients are required to remain 2 metres apart from each other, unless you are being treated by a Doctor or Nurse. They will be wearing protective gear i.e. mask, gown, gloves, eye goggles or shield, and you may be asked to wear a mask also.You will be met at the main entrance door by a Registered Nurse wearing protective gear. The nurse will ask you some questions and then direct you either into the clinic or to the carpark for staff to help you from there.

Remember – it is safe for you and your family to come into the clinic during this Alert Level lockdown.

Our Counties Medical Takanini site at 106 Great South Road, Takanini is now a designated Community Based Assessment Centre for COVID-19 ONLY.

The Takanini site is NOT available for Urgent Care or GP Clinic care. You need to go to the Papakura clinic. Please do not phone the normal Takanini Urgent Care phone number for the COVID-19 site. This number has been re-directed to the Papakura clinic.

If you have COVID-19 concerns, please phone the dedicated Healthline Number on 0800 611 116. There will be a wait on this line before you can speak to someone.

If you require a COVID-19 assessment +/- swabbing, please go to the site at 106 Great South Road Takanini and staff there will assist you. You do not need to phone Healthline first if you are concerned you have, or may have been exposed to COVID-19.

 

Flu Vaccination Info:

Update 3rd April 2020. 

Flu vaccinations are now available for patients who meet the following the following criteria:

  • Over 65 years old
  • Pregnant women
  • Some specific long term conditions (please speak to one of our nurses who can advise if you are eligible)
Flu Vaccinations for children aged 6-35 months - We are still waiting for stock and are unable to confirm when the vaccination will be available.

All other patients- Due to the limited stock we are unable to commence flu vaccinations for all our other patients. At this stage we are unable to confirm when we will have stock available.

Please Note – This years Flu Vaccination is for the normal annual flu protection. It is NOT a vaccine for COVID-19. We do still recommend that you protect yourself against the normal annual flu through vaccination annually.

 

Welcome to the Counties Medical Integrated Heath Centre

We provide an integrated health service to the Papakura and Takanini communities at two convenient sites. The Papakura and Takanini sites are conveniently located near train and bus routes. Each site has ample parking and is wheelchair accessible.

Both sites have co-located services.

Our Takanini clinic offers services including Radiology, Pharmacy, Dental and visiting specialists.

Our Papakura clinic offers services including Radiology, Pharmacy, Dental, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Osteopathy and visiting specialists.

Counties Medical is an urgent care provider. We do not require appointments for accident or medical consultations.

We are also a general practice providing quality health care to you and your family. Opening hours for the GP Clinic are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm. Consultations are by appointment only. Our standard consultation time is 15 minutes.
